This adventuring band was formed by the famed adventurer-explorer Nirthane some 5 years ago. The group has earned a reputation for their daring exploits, as well as their willingness to take on any job as long as the gold is good. They specialize in exploring ancient ruins and dungeon sites. They are a mobile group, and spend a great deal of time board their caravel Pernicious.

Aslaxa
Female Human Cleric

Scheming, manipulative, and beautiful, this Hraalvic woman is a priestess of the Church of the Black Hand, the temple of Bane in Voldaire. When Nirthane petitioned aid from the Church three years ago, Aslaxa was sent to join the Stormdrakes. Her duplicitious nature has earned her no friends among the Stormdrakes, though the impressionable Venner certainly has an eye for her.

Caervin
Male Elf Ranger

Caervin was born and raised in the western wilds of Menderlyne, though little is known of his life among his elven kin. Skilled in the ways of woodcraft and nature lore, Caervin left Menderlyn and soon found employment in post-war Voldaire as an assassin and bounty hunter. After a chance encounter in the port city of Velen, Nirthane offered the cold-hearted killer a place among the Stormdrakes.

Katonda
Male Human Fighter

Born in the jungle wilds of Jaarluna, Katonda was captured by Karvejian slavers as a young man and spent many years chained to the oars of a Karvejian war galley. During the waning years of the 2nd Trade War, Katonda's ship was sunk during a skirmish with Nirthane's fleet. Katonda was one of the few survivors of the attack. Seeing potential in the fierce Jaarlunan warrior, Nirthane offered him a new life as his personal bodyguard. Katonda has served him loyally ever since.

Katonda is jovial and fond of strong drink and gambling. Although he enjoys a good fight, he is neither cruel nor overly bloodthristy. However, he is unbending and stubborn and unquestioningly loyal to Nirthane whom he claims to owe a "life-debt".

Student
Warforged Wizard

Student is an enigma, and even Nirthane is unsure of his origins. What is known is that one stormy night while at anchor in the Cedaran port city of Dun Lorgan, Student appeared on the main deck of the Pernicious demanding to meet with Nirthane. The two adjourned to the captain's cabin and spoke through the night. The next morning, Nirthane announced that Student was his new apprentice.

Student has the typical social naiveté of his race, and an insatiable appetite for history and all things arcane. He spends hours each day pouring over old scrolls and tomes and is constantly scribbling notes in his ritual spellbook. He is overly curious and absent minded to a fault.

Venneristimon ("Venner")
Male Human Ranger

Venner doesn't speak of his past, though his Arthedainian accent is unmistakable. He served as a mercenary scout for Voldaire during the 2nd Trade War, and he remains deeply haunted by the atrocities of war he experienced. He often wakes screaming, and never speaks of his days as a soldier-for-hire. Nirthane found him in an alehouse in Saeris shortly after the war. Still shell-shocked from his experiences, Venner was well on his way to drinking himself to death. For reasons known only to the Lord Commander, Nirthane offered Venner membership with his Stormdrakes and a new lease on life.

Venner is in excellent physical shape, and has not touched a drop of ale in over 5 years. With his shaggy blond hair and bright blue eyes, he looks 15 years younger than his actual age (40).
